Wanru Kemp – The Path
June 27 - September 1, 2025
“Softened by moonlight and the nighttime sounds of the river, following its darkened path, may we find our way back to our own inner landscape.”
‘The Path’ brings together works created during my participation in the Sheep River Artist Residency in Okotoks, Alberta, along with a new series of paintings capturing the night scenes along the river.
Open for viewing

Meet the Artist.
Born on China's north coast and having lived in Thailand for five years before settling in Canada with my family, My art is influenced by the diverse cultures and landscapes I’ve experienced.
Through art, I am experimenting with building an inlet of peace and introspection, connecting with nature’s soothing presence in an increasingly disconnected world.

“A night story of Sheep River ‘ shifts the focus to the river at night, exploring a path that is both familiar and unfamiliar. These are places people pass by every day, where children play and walkers gather, now seen under the moon light and softened by shadow. In the darkness, there are endearing, vivid worlds we don’t often see..”
