Canopy Studios is a gallery, workshop, creative co-work, and event space dedicated to art and wellness, located in a charming heritage home in Calgary’s Lower Mount Royal.

Our art and wellness hub includes art studios, therapy rooms for art, dance, and massage, and a welcoming gallery and workshop area. Visitors are encouraged to explore rotating exhibits, support local artists, and engage in their own creative practices for the purpose of improving mental health and overall well-being. A cozy communal kitchen on the third floor brings people together over lunch, tea, and conversation.

Host an Art Show Whether you're planning a solo exhibition or curating a group show, Canopy offers a flexible venue to share your work, spark meaningful conversations, and build community. While we love seeing artists thrive and make sales, Canopy isn’t a traditional commercial gallery. We're passionate about supporting artists who are sharing thoughtful messages or exploring important themes. That’s why we charge a rental fee - but take no commission on any artwork sold.
Plan a Team Building Workshop
Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or kicking off a new project, our art-based sessions bring teams together through creativity, collaboration, and conversation. In our relaxed studio environment, groups engage in guided activities - like painting, clay, collage, or collaborative murals, designed to break down barriers, reduce stress, and boost morale. No art experience is needed - just curiosity and openness. Our workshops are fully customizable to your goals, whether that’s trust-building, strategic alignment, or simply having fun together.
Rent the Venue
Got an idea? Canopy Studios is your versatile heritage-home venue for workshops, wellness classes, live performances, and creative retreats. Whether it’s a drawing class, meditation circle, team-building session, poetry reading, or cooking demonstration, we’ll work with you to bring your vision to life. Rentals include full access to our gallery and workshop spaces, tables, chairs, hanging systems, and basic A/V, plus assistance with promotion and optional catering or bar service.
