Canopy Studios – a welcoming venue for meaningful art shows, workshops, and creative connection.

Canopy Studios is a gallery, workshop, creative co-work, and event space dedicated to art and wellness, located in a charming heritage home at 1723 9th St SW in Calgary’s Lower Mount Royal neighbourhood.

We believe in the transformative power of the arts and that creativity is more than an activity—it’s a powerful tool for connection, healing, and community.

Our art and wellness hub includes art studios, therapy rooms for art, dance, and massage, and a welcoming gallery and workshop area. Visitors are encouraged to explore rotating exhibits, support local artists, and engage in their own creative practices for the purpose of improving mental health and overall well-being. A cozy communal kitchen on the third floor brings people together over lunch, tea, and conversation.

Do you have art studio space available?
Our studios are currently full with resident artists. Let us know if you’d like to be added to the waitlist for future openings.

Can I host an art show or display my work in your gallery?
Yes! Our gallery is open for solo or group exhibitions.

What’s the capacity of your gallery?
Up to 16 people for seated workshops or about 40 for standing-room events and performances.
