Meet the Host.

I tell stories through art - each piece is a visual tale for those who wish to listen.

With a background in fine art, illustration, animation, and book design, I work in both traditional and digital mediums, often blending the two. My style is narrative and imaginative, rooted in a love for mythology, folklore, and the natural world.

As an illustrator, I bring written stories to life. As a fine artist, I explore my own personal mythologies - Tree Spirits, Green Men, and landscapes transformed by magic. My work celebrates the wonder I see in nature, blending realism with the fantastical to reveal the hidden beauty around us.

Meet the Artist.

A.M. Blocker was a multi-talented creator whose life was shaped by curiosity, creativity, and a deep love of storytelling. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Tony (as he was known to friends and family) travelled the world as a weather observer in the U.S. Navy before planting new roots in Calgary in the early 1990s.

After earning a degree in Textiles from the Alberta College of Art & Design in 1997, Tony continued to explore the intersection of word and image. He was an award-nominated poet, an expressive photographer, and an imaginative visual artist - always working on something, always collecting inspiration.

His creative voice combined thoughtful observation with a quiet sense of humour and a deep sense of empathy. Whether through photography, poetry, or pen-and-ink drawings, Tony’s work invited viewers to slow down and see the world through a more compassionate lens.

His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched - with both his art and his spirit.

“My art is my voice, revealing my tales to those who would listen. I've spent my life exploring art in its many forms.”
