In this series of mixed media pieces, “Convergence” the artist has married her intuitive, feeling brain with her rational brain to create unique pieces of great depth and understanding of the elements of art and understanding of the world. With 40 years of painting, the creative process has been honed to show mastery of execution and design, and each piece stores a unique feeling of its own.

Meet the Artist

Katerine Lakeman’s paintings evoke the viewer’s emotions and response with her use of bold colour and gesture. Dynamic and personal, they are also universal, in their themes of beauty, energy, strength, honesty and individual uniqueness.

Katherine has been painting and exhibiting her artwork in Calgary for over 30 years and is in many collections, both business and private. She has exhibited in public and commercial galleries such as The Triangle Gallery of Art in Calgary, the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies in Banff, AB, the Galeria Recreo in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, Artspace in Calgary.
